Team 91 VA Girls Director
Jess Rudloff has led both elite coaching and playing careers prior to founding the Lotus Lacrosse Lacrosse in 2020, which has transitioned to Team 91 Virginia. Rudloff was an assistant coach at High Point University. In her second year with the Panthers, she led the offensive unit ultimately grasping the 2017 Big South Championship and NCAA berth where the Panthers defeated Towson advancing to the NCAA Championship Sweet-16. Under her leadership, the Panthers produced five members of the 2016 Big South Conference First-Team and in 2017 the Big South Offensive Player of the Year as well as five additional 2017 Big South Conference First-Team selections. Prior to High Point, Rudloff started her college coaching career in Chestertown, MD with Washington College where she mentored four members of the Centennial Conference First-Team in both 2014 and 2015.
Rudloff thrived in her collegiate career as stand-out Division I lacrosse player at Longwood University (2008-2012) and Drexel University (2013). At Drexel, she finished as an IWLCA All-Academic Team and CAA All-Academic Team Member. Playing her first three years at Longwood University, she was Rookie of the Year, and won two NLC Championships. In addition, Rudloff was three time selection to the NLC All-Academic Team as well as the IWLCA All-Academic team.
Today, Rudloff holds a BS in Kinesiology and a MS in Nutrition. She is the Resident Dietitian with Virginia Cancer Institute guiding patients through nutritional difficulties during cancer treatment. Lacrosse has backed both of her degrees through development of leadership skills and confidence that she wishes to pass on to youth lacrosse players.
A Note From Jess:
I am the product of two coaches and educators. My Mom started the first ever organized recreation lacrosse league for Chester County, PA in 1998. She is the reason that my sister, myself, and countless girls found a love for lacrosse. Many of us went on to play in college, and 5 went on to coach college lacrosse. It is only fitting that I carry on the family tradition in Richmond, VA.
When I moved to Richmond to embark on a new career, I knew that I had to stay in the game of lacrosse. While my full-time career changed, my love for the game did not. I was lucky to connect with Strikers Lacrosse Club and build relationships with some terrific players, parents, and coaches. The impact the Strikers program had on me was greater than I anticipated and prompted a call to action to start Lotus Lacrosse when the club folded. Lotus grew beyond my expectations and I am excited to join forces with Team 91 to support our athletes with the resources and attention they deserve.
